Conrad Milne

Newcastle-Upon-Tyne artist, Conrad Milne works in a variety of media, including painting, digital based processes, drawing, photography and mixed media. His work acts as visual responses to both urban and rural landscapes, industrial and structural demise, with allusions and nuances to historic, political and social references embedded into the fabric of the compositions.

His compositions both relate to art and life; a mix of appropriated imagery, juxtaposition and integrated sources alongside first hand observations, adding tension and interesting contrast to his layered artwork style. With the inclusion of typography and text, linear and structural elements create critical visual devices, which overall add to the textural quality of the ideas that permeate his work.

Conrad has had many exhibitions in his hometown of Newcastle -Upon-Tyne as well as Northumberland and has an upcoming collaborative project with exhibition debut in Wolverhampton.
