Ed Chapman

Ed is a leading mosaic artist whose distinct and recognisable style is collected by many high profile personalities and is included in numerous private collections and corporate buildings all over the world.

He has created several 'firsts' in mosaic, including Jimi Hendrix from Fender guitar picks, tennis star Andy Murray on carpet made from household items like tomato sauce and lipstick, Albert Einstein in metal, a chewing gum mosaic, a bullets mosaic and several others.

In order to create his ceramic tiled portraits, Ed spends many hours of painstaking effort, cutting and shaping hundreds of ceramic fragments, some no bigger than a couple of millimetre. Each piece then fastened by hand, and impeccably finished achieving a flawless result.

His subjects vary from actors and singers to specially commissioned portraits of families and world leaders. Ed’s work graces the homes of the rich and famous and he has received a great deal of media coverage across Europe and north America.
