"Although I was born in Australia, to Scots immigrant parents, we did move back to Scotland, where I grew up. A lot of Aussie tat came with us in that move, and I remember some stuffed koalas that my young friends would treat like it was E.T emerging from the toy-box. I go back to Oz regularly, though I will never be at home with parrots on the lawn, or possums on the roof. In Oz, I’ll always be An Innocent Abroad.
